Ntaganda’s conviction, a sweeping win for the ICC Prosecutor
The conviction of Bosco Ntaganda, a former militia leader in the Democratic Republic of Congo, by the International Criminal Court (ICC) on July 8 comes as a relief for the Court’s prosecutor. It is also hailed as a victory for the prosecution of sexual violence. Meanwhile, however, the war and massacres continue in the Ituri region.
