Congo/ICC: Germain Katanga’s double sentence
Former Congolese militia leader Germain Katanga has served his sentence handed down by the International Criminal Court (ICC). But for the last three years, he has been under prosecution in Kinshasa in a new trial that has not really begun. Many people say he is being prosecuted for political reasons. His former lawyer is meanwhile asking the ICC to revoke its decision authorising the Democratic Republic of Congo to (re)try Katanga.
