Almost a year after the adoption of the Rules of Procedure and Evidence of the Special Criminal Court in the Central African Republic, things seem to be moving forward with the recent announcement that several investigations could proceed to trial by end of next year. Reparations, often among the last to be addressed at trial, should be tackled early on by the SCC, says researcher Nader Iskandar Diab.
