Few court cases have directly dealt with these issues before international tribunals, and the guest lawyers on this latest podcast from our partners at Asymmetrical Haircuts offer contrasting answers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em><em>To listen to the podcast, click on the \"play\" button below:<\/em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.blubrry.com\/id\/122276014?cache=1699001077#textcolor-Dark&backgroundcolor-ffffff\" title=\"Blubrry Podcast Player\" scrolling=\"no\" width=\"100%\" height=\"230px\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>International Humanitarian Law is a set of rules which seek, for humanitarian reasons, to limit the effects of armed conflict, especially for those who are innocent bystanders of war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Today we look at how these laws are being considered and applied during the current conflict between Israel and Hamas and the role of military lawyers on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A major part of International Humanitarian Law is contained in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/genocideprevention\/documents\/atrocity-crimes\/Doc.33_GC-IV-EN.pdf\">Geneva Conventions <\/a>of 1949. Nearly every State in the world has agreed to be bound by them.
