Some view this serious violation of international law as the \u201cmost important crime\u201d, because all other crimes derive from it. Before the most recent wars in the Middle East and Trump\u2019s threats against Panama and Greenland, what put the crime of aggression back on the table, of course, was Russia\u2019s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justiceinfo.net\/en\/145193-what-to-make-of-the-announced-tribunal-for-the-crime-of-aggression.html\">Last May it was announced that a special tribunal would be created<\/a> to address this crime, through an agreement between Ukraine and the Council of Europe. Next month, a new working session will be held in New York to review the scope of the crime of aggression at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justiceinfo.net\/en\/tribunals\/icc\">International Criminal Court<\/a>.
