\nArusha, December 17, 2009 (FH) - The trial of genocide-accused former Rwandan Youth Minister, Callixte Nzabonimana, Thursday was adjourned to March 29, 2010, reports Hirondelle Agency.\n<\/p>\n

\nSenior Trial Attorney, Paul Ng'arua, told Hirondelle Agency that the defence would continue cross-examination of the 20th and last prosecution witness, code-named ‘'CNAC''.\n<\/p>\n
\nAccording to Ng'arua, the pre-defence case meeting was planned for March 5.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe prosecutor, among other things, has alleged that the accused abused his influence and position by inciting the population in his native prefecture of Gitarama to pursue and kill ethnic Tutsis.\n<\/p>\n
\nNzabonimana is facing five charges of genocide, conspiracy to commit genocide, direct and public incitement to commit genocide, extermination and murder. He has denied the charges.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe defendant was arrested in Kigoma, Western Tanzania, on February 18, 2008 and was immediately transferred to the UN Detention Facility in Arusha.\n<\/p>\n
