\nArusha, March 10, 2009 (FH) - The International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) will hear closing arguments in the case of former Rwandan Deputy Governor, Dominique Ntawukulilyayo on June 3, 2010, reports Hirondelle News Agency.\n<\/p>\n

\nAccording to the scheduling order obtained from the ICTR web site, Trial Chamber III, which presides over the case, will be in Rwanda between April 25 and 29 to visit the sites where the crimes were allegedly committed by the accused. \n<\/p>\n
\nThe prosecution concluded its case on May 26, 2009 after fielding a total of 12 witnesses whereas the defence rested its case on December 18, the same year, after presenting of 23 witnesses, including the accused himself.\n<\/p>\n
\nNtawukulilyayo is charged with genocide and direct and public incitement to commit genocide in the southern Gisagara sub-prefecture of which he was the Deputy Governor in 1994. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges.\n<\/p>\n
\nThe defence team of Ntawukulilyayo is represented by Maroufa Diabira of Mauritania and Dorothee le Fraper du Hellen of France.\n<\/p>\n
