{"id":24434,"date":"2012-05-24T16:40:10","date_gmt":"2012-05-24T14:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.justiceinfo.net\/24434-240512-ictrtransfers-ictr-prosecutor-hands-ntaganzwa-file-to-rwanda.html"},"modified":"2012-05-24T16:40:10","modified_gmt":"2012-05-24T14:40:10","slug":"240512-ictrtransfers-ictr-prosecutor-hands-ntaganzwa-file-to-rwanda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.justiceinfo.net\/en\/24434-240512-ictrtransfers-ictr-prosecutor-hands-ntaganzwa-file-to-rwanda.html","title":{"rendered":"24.05.12 - ICTR\/TRANSFERS - ICTR PROSECUTOR HANDS NTAGANZWA FILE TO RWANDA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Arusha, May 24, 2012 (FH) \u2013Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR) Hassan Bubacar Jallow Thursday handed over the case file of fugitive Ladislas Ntaganzwa to the Rwandan Deputy Prosecutor General, Alphonse Hitiyaremye.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to a press statement issued by Jallow\u2019s Office, the handing over ceremony took place in Arusha, Tanzania, a step that marked the completion of a week-long official mission of senior Rwandan prosecutors to ICTR, led by Hitiyaremye.<\/p>\n<p>The Prosecutor handed over materials supporting the indictment against the suspect and other relevant evidence contained in his case file.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0According to the Indictment, Ntaganzwa, former mayor of Nyakizu commune, Butare prefecture in South Rwanda, is charged with genocide; direct and public incitement to commit genocide; and extermination, murder, and rape as crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n<p>This is the fourth time Jallow handed over such files to the Rwandan government.
