He explained that according to UN Resolution 1966 (2010), \u201cthe Mechanism is seized with jurisdiction to hear appeals for which notice of appeal against the judgment is filed on or after commencement date of the Mechanism\u2019s Branch\u201d.\u00a0\u00a0 The Arusha Branch of the Mechanism was launched on July 1, taking over some of the duties of the ICTR as it winds down.
