{"id":24531,"date":"2012-07-24T12:08:14","date_gmt":"2012-07-24T10:08:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.justiceinfo.net\/24531-240712-ictrun-general-assembly-adopts-decision-for-extension-of-four-judges-tenure.html"},"modified":"2012-07-24T12:08:14","modified_gmt":"2012-07-24T10:08:14","slug":"240712-ictrun-general-assembly-adopts-decision-for-extension-of-four-judges-tenure","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.justiceinfo.net\/en\/24531-240712-ictrun-general-assembly-adopts-decision-for-extension-of-four-judges-tenure.html","title":{"rendered":"24.07.12 - ICTR\/UN - GENERAL ASSEMBLY ADOPTS DECISION FOR EXTENSION OF FOUR JUDGES TENURE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Arusha, July 24, 2012 (FH) \u2013 The United Nations General Assembly has adopted a draft decision, allowing, on an exceptional basis, four judges to continue working with the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>According to a statement issued by the UN Department of Public Information on Tuesday, three judges hearing the case of ex-Rwandan Planning Minister Augustin Ngirabatware would continue serving on the Tribunal until December 31, 2012, or the completion of the case.<\/p>\n<p>They are William Hussein Sekule (Tanzania), Solomy Balungi Bossa (Uganda) and Mparany Richard Rajohnson (Madagascar).
