Selon ses pr\u00e9visions, cet arr\u00eat pourrait tomber en septembre 2013.<\/p>\n<p>En avril dernier, Charles Taylor a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconnu coupable de crimes de guerre et crimes contre l\u2019humanit\u00e9 pour son appui aux rebelles du Front r\u00e9volutionnaire uni (RUF) durant la guerre civile en Sierra Leone. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 condamn\u00e9 \u00e0 50 ans de prison, le mois suivant. Le procureur et la d\u00e9fense ont fait appel.<\/p>\n<p>Le Conseil de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 a lanc\u00e9 un appel aux Etats membres pour plus de contributions financi\u00e8res en vue de l\u2019ach\u00e8vement des travaux et la mat\u00e9rialisation de l\u2019accord entre New York et Freetown sur la mise en place d\u2019une structure r\u00e9siduelle du TSSL, selon le centre de presse de l\u2019ONU.<\/p>\n<p>Ce m\u00e9canisme r\u00e9siduel sera charg\u00e9 de superviser l\u2019ex\u00e9cution des peines, prot\u00e9ger les t\u00e9moins et pr\u00e9server les archives.<\/p>\n<p>Institution mixte, le Tribunal pour la Sierra Leone a \u00e9t\u00e9 cr\u00e9\u00e9 conjointement par les Nations Unies et le gouvernement sierra l\u00e9onais en 2002 pour juger les personnes portant la plus grande responsabilit\u00e9 dans les violations les plus graves du droit international humanitaire et du droit sierra l\u00e9onais, durant les 10 ans de guerre civile dans le pays.<\/p>\n<p>Le tribunal a d\u00e9j\u00e0 termin\u00e9 les proc\u00e8s de huit anciens rebelles actuellement d\u00e9tenus dans une prison du sud du Rwanda.<\/p>\n<p>ER\/GF<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arusha, 10 octobre 2012 (FH) -
