Ces propos attribu\u00e9s \u00e0 l'ambassadeur am\u00e9ricain pour les crimes de guerre, Pierre Richard Prosper, ont \u00e9t\u00e9<br \/>\nr\u00e9percut\u00e9s la semaine derni\u00e8re par le Service des informations du gouvernement des Etats-Unis(USIS).\n<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p  >\nAu d\u00e9but de cette ann\u00e9e, Washington a instaur\u00e9 une r\u00e9compens\u00e9 allant jusqu'\u00e0 cinq millions de dollars destin\u00e9 \u00e0 quiconque donnerait des informations susceptibles de faire arr\u00eater des suspects de g\u00e9nocide rwandais, en vue de les transf\u00e9rer devant le Tribunal p\u00e9nal international pour le Rwanda (TPIR) sis \u00e0 Arusha (Tanzanie). Selon Washington, au moins neuf suspects vivraient en RDC.\n<\/p>\n<p  >\nPierre Richard Prosper a par ailleurs renouvel\u00e9 le soutien de son pays au TPIR. Il a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le gouvernement am\u00e9ricain \u00e9tait pr\u00eat \u00e0 augmenter sa contribution relativement \u00e0 la demande de \"juges ad litem\" introduite au Conseil de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 de l'ONU par le TPIR, en vue d'acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer les proc\u00e8s.\n<\/p>\n<p  >\nPierre Richard Prosper a indiqu\u00e9 que les Etats Unis soutiennent cette demande et qu'ils vont user de leur influence au sein du Conseil de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 pour faire en<br \/>\nsorte que le rythme des proc\u00e8s au TPIR s'acc\u00e9l\u00e8re. Le Tribunal d'Arusha devrait terminer son mandat en 2008. Kigali et Kinshasa ont r\u00e9cemment sign\u00e9 un accord destin\u00e9 \u00e0 mettre fin \u00e0 quatre ann\u00e9es de guerre en RDC.
