Bosnia's foreign minister Elmedin Konakovic on Tuesday ordered two Serbian diplomats to leave the country after several Belgrade officials attended a funeral for war criminal Ratko Mladic in the Serbian capital.
At least six Serbian ministers were among thousands who attended Monday's funeral service which openly praised Mladic, who died last month while serving a life sentence for war crimes committed during the Bosnian war.
The former Bosnian Serb military leader was dubbed by the international press the "Butcher of Bosnia" and was convicted of genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the 1990s conflict.
"They crossed every red line with what they did yesterday, the day before, and in the days leading up to the reception," Konakovic told a press conference in Sarajevo.
In response, he said he had ordered the defence envoy and an adviser of Serbia's intelligence service to leave the country.
Konakovic earlier announced he had withdrawn almost all Bosnia's embassy staff from Belgrade over the funeral and wanted to reduce relations to the "lowest possible level" allowed without presidential oversight.
"If I could, I would break off diplomatic relations with Serbia right now," he told media.
