Arusha, 13 February 2009 (FH) - The trial of the former senior Rwandan army officer, Lieutenant Colonel, Ephrem Setako, resumes  Monday before the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda (ICTR).

At the time of adjournment on September 26, 2008, the prosecution had already fielded 12 witnesses out of the targeted 25. This session is expected to last up to March 6, 2009.

Lt. Col Setako is facing six charges including genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes. He has denied the charges.
