Arusha, 12 June 2009 (FH) - Genocide trial against the former Rwanda military officer, Lt. Col. Ephrem Setako, resumes Monday with the defence presentating its last bunch of witnesses.

The case was adjourned on May 27, after the testimony of the 24th protected defence witness code-named ‘'NDU'' for security reasons.

Lead defence counsel for the accused, American Professor Lennox Hinds, hinted that he still has at least ten defence witnesses, including the client himself.

Prosecution ended its case on April 22, 2009, after fielding 20 witnesses.

Lt. Col Setako is facing six charges including genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes. He denied the charges.
