"We are informed that a delegation of three-a prosecutor and two members of judicial police-- will be in Rwanda to investigate one of the fugitives currently living there (in Belgium)'', hinted Augustin Nkusi, Spokesperson for the Prosecutor General, who was quoted by New Times Wednesday.
Augustin Nkusi was unwilling to reveal the suspect's identity.
Many Rwandans accused of 1994 genocide fled to Belgium but, according to Nkusi, Belgium differently than other countries,'' it endeavours to try them. ‘'
He reproached that certain countries "simply sit, without any action, on the indictments sent by Kigali.''
Belgium has already convicted several Rwandans who were accused of having played a part in the genocide committed against mainly ethnic Tutsis from April to July 1994.
