Sadi Bugingo, who has been living in Norway for more than ten years, was found guilty of contributing to the murder of 2,000 Tutsis in 1994, according to AFP. He was charged with attending meetings where murders were planned and ordered, as well as helping to organize the murders and transporting the killers.

Bugingo, a 47-year-old- Hutu, was formerly a businessman in his native country. The trial opened on September 25, 2012. During the proceedings, the judges travelled to Rwanda to hear prosecution and defence witnesses.
