ICC Prosecutor election: The wheeling and dealing is not yet done
The stakes are far from played out for the election of the International Criminal Court’s third prosecutor, scheduled for December at the Assembly of States Parties. At the end of June, a Committee selected four candidates. But none of them have gathered a consensus among States, which are playing for more time: last Tuesday, the deadline for reaching a decision was pushed back to October 22, and the suspense remains incredibly high.
