Six Bosnian Muslim war crimes suspects were arrested Tuesday close to Sarajevo, on accusations that they murdered 30 Serbs during the country's 1990s conflict, officials said.
The arrests marked the second operation since early December targeting former members of Bosnian Muslim forces over crimes in the 1992-95 civil war, in which 100,000 people were killed.
The six suspects were arrested to the north of Sarajevo, police said in a statement.
Prosecutors allege that they took part in an attack on 10 June 1992 in the Serb village of Cemerno near the Bosnian capital.
The victims were aged between 18 and 80. Ten of them were women, the prosecutors' statement said.
On December 4, another 13 Bosnian Muslims who led police and military forces in the conflict were arrested on suspicion of war crimes against dozens of Serbs in the southern region of Konjic.
The military attache to the Bosnian embassy in the Netherlands was arrested in connection with the case a week later.
Serb victims' associations often denounce the Bosnian judicial system for not doing enough to prosecute war crimes against them.
They were outraged over the acquittal in October of Naser Oric, who commanded Bosnian Muslim troops in the war.
