Chloé Dubois

Chloé Dubois is a freelance journalist. She writes mainly about human rights abuses, exile and migration, with a strong interest in investigative journalism and long-term projects. Since 2024, she has also been covering international justice issues and became a correspondent for Justice Info in Paris. In 2019, she co-founded the Focus collective, which brings together freelance journalists and documentary filmmakers.

The Lafarge trial opens on Tuesday 4 November in Paris. The French cement manufacturer is in the dock, as a legal entity, along with eight former executives, managers and intermediaries, for financing terrorism in Syria.

On Friday, the highest court of France met to examine the arrest warrant issued in 2023 against former Syrian president Bashar al-Assad – challenged by the public prosecutor on the grounds of immunity protecting heads of state in office.
